HIMSS leads efforts to optimize health engagements and care outcomes using information technology. This annual event allows those in the healthcare community to share information on best practices and trends while learning about the latest healthcare technology. This year, HIMSS14 has over 1200 exhibitors with a variety of sessions, showcases, and speakers on subjects from health information exchange to importance of interoperability.


Dave Jennings, SLI Global Solutions' Director of Business Development - Government Solutions, is presenting “Writing and Evaluating a Request for Proposal (RFP)” on a January 30th webinar to a national audience of State and Tribal Child Welfare Technology Systems Managers and Staff.

This is the third webinar in a series on Procurement and Contract Management being hosted by ICF, International on behalf of the Health and Human Services Administration for Children and Families, Children’s Bureau. The objective of the January 30th Webinar is to improve the clarity of Child Welfare Information Technology RFP’s developed by State and Tribal Agencies in order to increase competition and innovation while mitigating risks.


SLI will be in attendance at the National Association of State Election Directors (NASED) Winter Meeting in Washington DC, February 13-15. This annual event allows those in the election community to share information on best practices as well as, learning about the latest election technology.  As an accredited Voting System Test Lab (VSTL), SLI, is pleased to participate at this event sharing our knowledge of election processes, software security practices, and voting system industry standards.  Ms. Traci Mapps, Sr. Director of Compliance Solutions will be representing SLI, and is excited to be returning the NASED meeting again this year.

The Missouri Department of Labor and Industrial Relations (DOLIR) selected SLI Global Solutions, Inc. (SLI) to deliver Oversight and Technical Audit services for their Unemployment Insurance Modernization (UIM) Project. DOLIR has chosen an oversight approach that calls for full-time support of the project, where SLI subject matter experts and technical specialists review the processes and artifacts that are produced throughout the entire System Development Life Cycle. This contract, which runs through July 2018, provides DOLIR with system development and implementation assessment services that focus on managerial and technical processes and products of the team building the UIM.

The SLI IV&V Team independently reviews, monitors, and evaluates multiple aspects of the UIM project to determine that both the State and development vendor employ best practices, identify risks proactively and address them promptly, meet contractual obligations on schedule, and meet quality standards for deliverables.

For the fourth year in a row, SLI’s QMS has been confirmed to be in compliance with the ISO 9001:2008 standard as applicable to “Quality and Risk Management Services, including Quality Assurance, Testing, Independent Verification and Validation for Software Applications and Computer Systems”. To pass these audits, SLI proves that: (1) all requirements of the standards are met and fully documented; (2) all staff are trained on the methodology and all projects use the applicable standards, processes, procedures, tools, and templates; and (3) the standards, processes, procedures, tools, and templates are continuously updated and improved based on new standards and best practices.

The conference agenda is focused on the implications of the historical roll-out of the ACA as well as challenges and innovations in Child Welfare, Child Support and Child Care.

The SQUaD organization supports Quality Assurance Professionals in the Denver and those on the Front Range. This annual event promotes local interaction for members in Colorado, support each other and the exchange of information.
