SLI Global Solutions will be attending the 43RD Annual IACREOT Conference July 19th – 24th, 2014 in Bonita Springs, Florida. The International Association of Clerks, Recorders, Election Officials and Treasurers (IACREOT), founded in 1971, is a professional organization composed of elected and appointed officials throughout the United States and abroad that provides a forum for the free exchange of information resulting in improved standards for serving the public.
In 2010, the Project Task Force requested that AASHTO, a non-profit, non-partisan association representing highway and transportation departments in the 50 states, D.C., and Puerto Rico, engage the services of a Third Party Testing Services contractor for use in the web-based AASHTOWare Project software. As a result of a Request for Information and Qualifications (RFIQ), SLI Global Solutions was retained to initially perform testing services for web Trns·port 2.01. Since that first contract, SLI has provided additional Software Testing Services, Source Code Review, and Security services.

SLI Global Solutions will be presenting at this year’s State Certification Testing of Voting Systems National Conference, hosted by the Colorado Department of State, on June 4th and 5th, 2014 in Denver, CO. This annual working conference provides an opportunity to share ideas and solutions for ensuring voting and election system transparency and integrity. Industry practitioners and academics will have the opportunity to share best practices, explore more efficient and effective methods for testing and implementing voting and election systems and identify common challenges. In addition, the State Certification Testing of Voting Systems National Conference is meant to be a vehicle to improve the flow of information between the federal, state, county, and municipality testing entities.
Maryland’s Department of Information Technology awarded SLI Global Solutions, Inc. (SLI) one of five Master Contracts to provide Independent Assessment Services (IAS) to DoIT and other State Agencies. IAS task orders issued under the Master Contract can be for a variety of assessment activities including snapshot IV&Vs, lifecycle IV&Vs and independent risk assessments. The objective of the IAS Master Contracts is to provide agencies with a contractual vehicle to quickly obtain Independent Assessment Services from firms who have been pre-qualified as meeting DoIT’s demanding standards for these types of assessments.

This year's event is will be held in Greensboro, NC with the theme "Taking Flight for Children and Families". Broomfield City Council has selected SLI Global Solutions to perform an Elections Procedure Assessment and Procedures Manual due to some procedural mistakes and mis-processed ballots following an election in November of 2013. Though the issues were not significant enough to change the outcome of the election, they attracted scrutiny from industry stakeholders, Colorado election activists and the Secretary of State.
